Many groups at Bethlehem engage in many ministries of serving. If you would like to connect with these groups, it is best

Mission Action Projects
The women of the church (BLCW) sponsor monthly projects for the whole congregation:
January: Bingo prizes for local nursing home
February: Health kits for Lutheran World Relief
March: Items for Sunshine children's home
April: Layettes for Lutheran World Relief
May: Items for Luther Home of Mercy
June: Sewing kits for Lutheran World Relief
July: Money donations for Cocoon (battered women's) Shelter
August: School kits for Lutheran World Relief
September: Soap for Lutheran World Relief
October: Canned an dried food items for the Community Food Pantry
November: Thankofferings to support the many projects of
the Women of the ELCA (WELCA)
December: Hat and mitten tree for area care facilities (adult sizes preferred)
Quilting
The women of the church also gather on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month to tie quilts and lap robes for
Lutheran World Relief from 9 am - noon in the church basement.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry provides prayer shawls for the sick and suffering.
Good Samaritan Fund and Community Food Pantry
We operate a food pantry on behalf of the Pemberville churches. It is our honor and privilege to serve the poor and the hungry. We also offer limited
financial assitance through our Good Samaritan Fund. This assistance is primarily intended for those who live within the Eastwood School District. Office
hours are 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
Other Serving Opportunities
Assembling food baskets in the fall and spring for those in need of food and other assistance.
Assembling sack lunches on the 5th Sunday of the month for St. Paul's community center in Toledo.
Operation Christmas Child in October/November.
A Vacation Bible School service component in June.
Catechism (6-8th grade) and high school servant events.
