Bethlehem Lutheran Church Women (BLCW):

We have two goals, to know and do the will of the Lord Jesus Christ. We accomplish these goals in different ways and invite any woman past confirmation age (14 and over) to join us.

Bible Studies
To know the will of Jesus Christ, we offer opportunities for learning. You are welcome to join one of our two Bible Study groups known as circles that meet once a month to study from Lutheran Woman Today. Our Priscilla circle meets the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the church lounge. Our Rebekah circle meets the fourth Monday of each month at 7 pm in the lounge.

During July and August, our circles do not meet, but have combined prayer breakfasts. We also have three yearly fellowship gatherings that allow us to learn about various topics and visit with each other.

Service
To do the will of Christ, we participate in several service projects in and out of the church. We decorate the church office window, deliver flowers from Sunday services, prepare and serve funeral luncheons, plan and carry out the annual Thankoffering service (2nd Sunday in November), and remember shut-in members, service people, confirmands, and first year anniversaries with gifts through the year.

Other Projects
Outside the church, we support the Junior Library Club in Pemberville, collect supplies for Bethlehem's preschool, Wood Lane in Bowling Green, the Cocoon women's shelter in Bowling Green, Otterbein Portage Valley retirement community, and Lutheran Home of Mercy. We also support Lutheran World Relief through Blanket and Soap Sunday, health kits, sewing kits, school kits, and layettes.

We welcome you to join us and encourage you to find out more about us through our handbook available through the church office or by joining our email network by sending your email to the church office.
